Okay, so we all know that the new Star Wars movie comes out on December 18th, right? Hopefully you know, or else you had better come out from underneath that rock you've been living under for the past YEAR.
Anyways, it is arguably the most anticipated movie release in the last decade, and expected to SHATTER box office records. That is to be expected when people are trying scalp tickets for opening night as high as ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. Yea, you read that correctly, what a time to be alive. In some of the bigger, major cities, tickets to a special IMAX 3D showing are starting at around $200 a pop. A couple of weeks ago they were $20. Wow. Here is where it gets crazy... The tickets starting at $1000 are being sold for an exclusive opening night event at Disney World, which is actually pretty cool, but, a GRAND for one movie ticket? Really? Come on, man! These people do realize that this movie will be in theaters for multiple, multiple amounts of days. A movie event this big will probably remain on the big screen for up to 2-3 months. But no, let's shell out hundreds of dollars to see it on opening night. People are crazy. But hey, I'm not going to lie to you, if I was a loaded I would 110% pay that kind of money to see it on opening night because I have been looking forward to this movie for freaking years and honest to god I can't wait to see it.
'Star Wars the Force Awakens' opens in 15 days and you can bet your sweet ass that I will be in line to see it the moment that I can.
