The UniversityofPhoenix will be canceling millions of dollars in student debt.
The for-profit University reached a monumental settlement with the Federal Trade Commission after it was accused of using deceptive advertising to promise students jobs at major companies like Microsoft, Adobe and the Red Cross.
The University will be forced to forgive $141-million in student debt owed to the school. Students who enrolled in the University between 2012 and 2016 may be eligible for the debt forgiveness and will be notified by the University directly.
