It's Ronni's Rescues BarkToberfest, Sunday, September 13th from 2 to 5 at Hofbräuhaus Columbus in Grandview Yard! 

Slipknot have released their first new music in over three years. Also, are Slipknot an 8-Piece Band Now? According to Slipknot's new press photo that was sent out with the song 'Arsenal,' they're now down to eight members instead of nine.

It's a single called "Arsenal" and it comes with a video directed by Shawn Crahan. 

The track comes on the band's own label, (Sic)est Records. And though Crahan and Corey Taylor talked about the band being free agents a couple years ago, they did sign a deal to have their label distributed by Roadrunner/Atlantic Records, which has been their home for their entire career.

"Arsenal" is the first song with drummer Eloy Casagrande. It's also the first new music from the band since turning over a third of their lineup -- keyboardist Craig Jones, drummer Jay Weinberg and DJ Sid Wilson all left between the band's 2023 EP Adderall and the release of this single. 

Corey Taylor on the new offering - "It pummels. I mean it is absolutely a pummeling experience… Like it's got these great moments of hyperactivity and then complete flex." He went on to add, "It's like we've got everyone by the hair and we're just going, 'Go, Go, Go!' [mimics banging their head]."

He later stated, "We're definitely exploring the realm that we've kind of been in for a long time, and bringing in elements that we have never done before… People are gonna be like when they hear it, 'There's no way that's Slipknot. There is no actual way that that is Slipknot.' I'm here to tell you 100%, you're damn right it is."

A live album from the late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland is getting its widest release yet. Scott Weiland: Live will be available on CD and digitally for the first time on October 23rd. The album captures Weiland's 2009 solo tour, recorded in support of his Happy in Galoshes record. A live performance video of STP's beloved "Interstate Love Song" has been released ahead of the launch. Originally issued as a limited Record Store Day exclusive on blue vinyl, the October 23rd release will also include a new red vinyl edition. The nine-track album features STP classics including "Vasoline," "Unglued," and "Interstate Love Song." Meanwhile, Stone Temple Pilots, now fronted by Jeff Gutt, head out on tour supporting Godsmack in September.

Bad Wolves Will Donate Proceeds From "Jolene" releasing August 31 to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Her Honor.

Bad Wolves join millions of fans around the world in mourning the sudden passing of the one and only Dolly Parton, whose legacy has touched generations of artists and fans globally.....

Okay, this is one of those stories that is just really strange — and honestly, kind of heartbreaking when you look at Bad Wolves' history.

Bad Wolves guitarist AJ Rebollo has announced he's leaving the band after two years, and it all comes down to the release of their cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene."

AJ posted a message on Instagram explaining that Dolly herself was actually supposed to add vocals to Bad Wolves' heavier version of the song. But after Dolly passed away Tuesday, that obviously never got the chance to happen.

AJ says he and his bandmates wanted to pull the song and not release it. But the record label decided to put it out anyway, just days after Dolly's death.

Now, the label is donating some of the proceeds from the song to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, but AJ says he just couldn't shake the feeling that there was some ill intent behind the decision to release it when they did.

He says he wishes absolutely no ill will toward anyone involved, and that he truly enjoyed his time with Bad Wolves — but ultimately, leaving the band was a decision he felt he had to make.

And here's the really bizarre part...This is almost the exact same situation Bad Wolves went through with their cover of The Cranberries' "Zombie."

Back in 2018, Dolores O'Riordan was actually supposed to record vocals for Bad Wolves' version of that song. Tragically, she died in London during the very trip when that recording was supposed to happen.

Bad Wolves eventually released "Zombie" as a tribute to Dolores... and now, years later, they find themselves in another incredibly similar situation — this time with Dolly and "Jolene."

For one band to have lightning strike twice like that... that is just an unbelievably strange and tragic coincidence.
