The upcoming film, ‘Long Live Rock…Celebrate The Chaos‘ premieres March 12th, and Columbus...You're IN IT!

Long-Live-Rock-Poster
Gary Spivack from 'Danny Wimmer Presents' and friend of the concert nation around central Ohio and beyond, will be hopping on air with me Wednesday afternoon March 10th to talk about the film that basically originated here in Columbus with Rock On The Range. It's big release is March 12th, and we played a part in it Columbus!

No thanks to covid, The Documentary finally found a distributor in Abramorama and also includes some of rock and metal's biggest names! If they played any of the DWP shows, their most likely going to be making an appearance. Members of Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie and many more are featured in the upcoming documentary film, 'Long Live Rock…Celebrate The Chaos' delves into the culture of hard rock music and metal, examining it through the stories of both the musicians who make it and the fans that enjoy it.

The film, directed by Jonathan McHugh and produced by Gary Spivack and Jonathan Platt, not only offers insight from the rockers currently carrying the torch for the heavy music scene but also connects viewers with some of the fans who have given their undying love and passion for the music they love so much.

"Gary Spivack and I wanted to make a film celebrating the chaos of rock culture. Growing up in New York City, I would do whatever it took to get in to see bands like Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and other rock icons. We are so proud to shine a light on the most passionate fans in the world and the music that drives them." - Director, Jonathan McHugh

"When it comes to YOU—when it comes to THE BLITZ——and the city of Columbus which I hold so dear to my heart——and since you all are actually IN the movie, I want to check in and THANK YOU ALL" - Producer, Gary Spivack

Video proof of Foo Fighters covering The Bee Gees "You Should Be Dancing" Bahahhahahaha! Good Stuff!

The Foo Fighters are sharing their cover of a Bee Gees song. While appearing on BBC Radio 2's Sofa Sessions, they played their songs "Waiting on a War," "All My Life" and the Bee Gees' "You Should Be Dancing." Frontman Dave Grohl said the band decided to cover the song after recently watching Bee Gees' documentary "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart." Grohl revealed it was the easiest song he's ever sang. He joked he should have been singing like that for the last 25 years.

(UPDATES ONGOING 4/5/21) Money grab or no? Vicky Cornell is suing the rest of Soundgarden over terms of a "buyout price" for her stake in the band, on behalf of the Chris Cornell Estate.

ChrisC-

Monday, April 5th, 2021 Vicky Cornell's lawyer is accusing the remaining members of Soundgarden of "maliciously" defaming his client. This comes after the band filed a lawsuit claiming that Cornell locked them out of the band's social media sites and their own website. The band is asking a judge to make her hand over the password or share a message saying the platforms are "temporarily suspended" amid "pending litigation." Lawyer Marty Singer claims that Vicky was the one who personally made the accounts and managed them for close to a decade before her husband's death. Singer slammed the band for not knowing the passwords to accounts they claim they own. Singer also says the band wants the accounts to defame Cornell and promote harassment of her family. Former manager Ron Lafitte issued a statement of support for Cornell saying at no time were the members of the band involved in the account before or after frontman Chris Cornell died.

Soundgarden Members Claim Vicky Cornell Changed Social Media Passwords Wednesday, 31 March 2021

The remaining members of Sound Garden are asking a judge for help after they claim Vicky Cornell locked them out of all their social media sites.

The band says Cornell changed the password to their Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, website and other platforms. They want a judge to demand she hand over the passwords or share that the band is suspending its official social media accounts due to pending litigation.

The band has been in an ongoing legal battle with Cornell after frontman Chris Cornell died in 2017 and left his rights to his wife. A hearing about the passwords is scheduled to take place next month.

Judge Recommends Dismissal Of Vicky Cornell's Claims Friday, 26 March 2021

A Washington state federal judge thinks two claims made by Chris Cornell's widow against his former band should be thrown out.

Billboard reports the judge found no evidence that Soundgarden was keeping "hundreds of thousands of dollars" of the late frontman's royalties from Vicky Cornell. The judge also believes there's nothing to support the claim the band's manager breached his fiduciary duty to her.

Cornell's lawyer plans to object the recommendation. She first filed suit against the band in 2019, two and a half years after Chris Cornell's death.

-------------------------------------------------

(2/22/21) The band's camp issued the following statement, "The buyout offer that was demanded by the Estate has been grossly mischaracterized and we are confident that clarity will come out in court. All offers to buy out our interests have been unsolicited and rejected outright. For more than a year, Soundgarden's social media accounts have been hijacked; misleading and confusing our fans. Being a band from Washington State since 1984, we are proud of Soundgarden's musical legacy, work and career. We look forward to completing the final Soundgarden album."  - Soundgarden

-------------------
Vicky (and the estate) were originally offered an amount that represents 1/4 of the bands worth, as evaluated by a respected music industry valuation expert. According to the suit filed by Vicky, the offer was insufficient based on the value of an outside investor's offer for Soundgarden's master tapes. Cornell also sued the band in 2019 over rights to multiple unreleased songs.

"As requested by the Estate of Chris Cornell and as required by the laws of the State of Washington, the surviving members of Soundgarden submitted to the Cornell Estate four months ago a buy-out offer of the Estate's interests in Soundgarden calculated by respected music industry valuation expert Gary Cohen. Since then, the band members have continued to try to settle all disputes with the Cornell Estate and in their several attempts to settle, the band members have elected to offer multiple times more than the amount calculated by Cohen. This dispute has never been about money for the band. This is their life's work and their legacy." - Representative for the band

Whilst they figure it out, let's enjoy Chris' voice from better times..... "Sunshower"

Ozzy and Post Malone stir up trouble and the police give chase! "It's A Raid"! Good Stuff!!!

ozzyosbournepostmalone
Ozzy Osbourne has released an animated music video for his collaboration with Post Malone entitled "It's A Raid". It was inspired by a real incident that happened while Ozzy and Black Sabbath were recording their "Vol. 4" album in California. Ozzy triggered the home's security system and....well....there were illegal things and....The Prince Of Darkness shouted " IT'S A F***IN' RAIIIIID," and the rest is history....(watch the video to see what happened!) "It's A Raid" is the final single from the Ordinary Man album."

"A couple of years ago I didn't even know who Post Malone was, and Since then we've worked together on two studio tracks and have performed together twice" - Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy also shared that he is currently working on his next album, once again with producer Andrew Watt. That thirteenth studio album features contributions from Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo as well as Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.
