Avenged Sevenfold have been casually recording a new album that will be completely different and over the top!

AVX

Good news! Avenged Sevenfold is working on their first new album since 2016's 'The Stage'. They're taking their sound in a "completely new direction" according to frontman M. Shadows. In his interview with Kerrang!, he said "The record sounds nothing like anything we've done. That's all I'll say about it: it's over the top, and it's very eclectic and wild!"

But, it's not coming out until full-scale touring is an option again. Shadows said, "No one wants to put out the record if we can't tour it. If you just imagine putting out a record in August, and then you're not touring until next August, people don't want to hear this but they're not going to care; they're going to be like, 'What's next?' Once the Gojira record, or the new Metallica record, or the new Megadeth record comes out, they're not going to care about what came out the year prior. Our whole thing is: if it's going to take us three years to do a record, we're going to make sure we can play it live and people are going to be excited about it."

UPDATE: COMPLETE VERSION of Another New Foo Fighters tune! Check out "No Son Of Mine" and a THANK YOU from Dave to everyone that supported the "Save Our Stages Act"

Foos-

HAPPY FOO YEAR!! The Foos' release their new album "Medicine At Midnight" on Feb 5th. They gave us 'Shame Shame' and now it looks like another track from their 10th studio album is HERE! Some are comparing "No Son Of Mine" to Rammstein and Motörhead, but most importantly it seems is...DRUMBEATS are the BIG PLUS in this new one!

Additionally, Dave Grohl is thanking those who have supported the 'Save Our Stages Act'. On social media, he shared that the act passed as a part of the economic stimulus bill. Grohl says the move brings people one step closer to feeling the "communal feeling of connection" which he says is best felt through live music. The Save Out Stages Act aims to help support America's smaller independent music venues amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Ozzy is 1/2 way done with his new album & his Guest Appearance list will blow minds!

OOTopHat-Promo
Ozzy has been working hard on his next album with Producer Andrew Watt. This will be Ozzy's 13th studio album and will be a doozy, because according to a recent update from Mr. Watt, the sessions are underway and they have enlisted Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Watt did an interview with Guitar World and talked about protocols on keeping Ozzy safe during the recording sessions, who impressive list of guest musicians and how the album is sounding...

"We're about halfway through. But, you know, it's been hard with COVID and everything to keep him safe. We all test every day before we work and it's just me, Ozzy and my engineer. So it's taken a little longer this time, but it's cool because the last one was made in this, like, swift love affair of passion, like, 'Oh my God, this is incredible!' [laughs] But this time everyone's moving a little slower and we're taking a little more time. And the songs, there's some songs on there that are like eight or nine minutes long that are these really crazy journeys. I'm really excited about it."

"There's a bunch of people involved. I can't say for sure until the end, but I started doing a bunch of basic tracks with Chad and Robert Trujillo, who used to play in Ozzy's band. And Taylor Hawkins also came in and played a bunch on the record as well, which adds a different flair – it kind of harkened back to Ozzy's '80s era, in a great way. And I think it's so cool for a rock fan to be able to listen to half an album with Chad Smith on drums, and then you flip it over and you get to hear Taylor Hawkins.

And you know, the last album was really special for everyone involved. And so there was no point in Ozzy or me doing this again unless we thought we could bring something new to the table. And I feel like we're achieving that."

"Well, we're just halfway through, so it could still change. Some of these songs we have could wind up not even making the album. So I can't really say yet. But in the end it's all Ozzy's decision. When he tells me we've got the album, that's when I'll stop."
