Haunted Hoochie's 'Swastika Saturday' Sparks Controversy

​This past Saturday, Pittsburgh experienced a tragedy. A gunman by the name of Robert Bowers entered a synagogue and killed 11 people during a ceremony. The same day, Haunted Hoochie posted on their Instagram that they were having an event called 'Swastika Saturday' and many people were outraged. Pittsburgh band Only Flesh cancelled when they found out. Although the event has been a part of Haunted Hoochie for 28 years, they claim that 'Swastika Saturday' is a "day of unity" and the group "stands against hate."

​This Wednesday, Canada finally legalized marijuana. People everywhere are supporting the legislation, with many going to dispensaries and purchasing the drug, and others finally being able to grow and use marijuana legally. In a couple places, the legal age is 18 while the rest of the country is 19. Canada has also been the second country in the world to allow a marijuana market.
