Shinedown gave fans a chance to make their pitch for a "Safe and Sound" video, and the winners of the contest decided to take the title of the band's single "Dance Kid, Dance" seriously.
The lucky rockstars were three L.A. based choreographers - David Matthew Rodriguez, Sean Lay and Adrian Pekurovsky - who wanted to make something that wouldn't normally happen in a rock video.
The three different dance crews brought their own styles and movements to the song, showing that rock music can inspire in ways you might not expect. The goal? To break the rules, push boundaries, and turn the emotion of the song into a powerful visual experience.
Choreographer David Matthew Rodriguez says the mission was to create something "epically original" — translating the passion and confidence of "Safe and Sound" into movement.
"Safe and Sound," is from their latest album EI8HT - This video is unlike anything they've done before! It brings the song's energy, emotion, and attitude to life. It's bold, unexpected, and 100% Shinedown. Check it out now!
