Mastodon Slam Lawsuit Which Claims Bans Used Brent Hinds Likeness To Promote New Album

Mastodon are slamming a lawsuit that was filed against them. 

The estate of the late Brent Hinds is accusing the band of using his likeness to promote "Marrow Deep," revealing information that he wished to keep private, and that they never bought Hinds out of his share of the band. Mastodon has responded to the civil lawsuit by saying they deny the allegations of ill intent on their part and they "intend to vigorously defend" what they believe is a "meritless lawsuit." 

They also said they wouldn't be publicly addressing the lawsuit moving forward.
