Please let there be peace in the Forest...er' I mean, Garden.
Soundgarden and Vicky Cornell, the personal representative of the Estate of Christopher Cornell, are pleased to announce that, effective June 15, 2021, they have come to a temporary agreement that will transfer the Soundgarden social media accounts and website to the band's remaining members, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd and their managers, Red Light Management. This includes Soundgarden's website [https://www.soundgardenworld.com], Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/Soundgarden], Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/soundgarden/], and Twitter [https://twitter.com/soundgarden]. The agreement marks a productive first step towards healing and open dialogue, and the parties wish for the social media accounts to celebrate the Band's accomplishments and music while continuing to honor Chris' legacy.
Tom Morello and Chris Cornell were Audioslave bandmates and friends playing together in the band from 2001 to 2007. Chris Cornell was legendary. Sadly he was found dead in his hotel room after a show 😥
"I don't think I'll ever recover from his passing, but we have so many great memories. And I was just really glad that I was able to… We played an Audioslave show — the first one in 12 years — in January" - Tom Morello
Tom Morello shared his poem on the 4th Anniversary of Chri's death via His Instagram, account, with the hashtag, #ChrisYouWillNeverBeOutshined
"I wrote this 4 years ago, the night Chris Cornell died" .....
"You're a prince, you're a snare, you're a shadow/You're twilight and star burn and shade/You're a sage, you're a wound shared, you're masked/You're a pillar of smoke, you're a platinum heart/You're a brush fire, you're caged, you're free/Your vision pierces, you do not see/You are pieces strewn on a hillside/You're open-armed, you're armed, you're true/You're a revealer of visions, you're a passenger, you're a never fading scar/You're twilight and star burn and shade/You're the secret veiled, you're the secret revealed, you're surrounded no more/You're not there, now you're always here/You're a handsome groom, a loving father, a haunted stairwell/You're the clear bell ringing, the mountains echo your song/Maybe no one has ever known you/You are twilight and star burn and shade."

All instruments on No One Sings Like You Anymore were played by Chris Cornell and Brendan O'Brien, who also produced & mixed the album. In time for the holiday's, the album is a special gift for Chris' fans and long term supporters, but the Cornell family hopes that new fans and listeners will be inspired by Chris' powerful and unique voice in these stunning renditions.
"This album is so special because it is a complete work of art that Chris created from start to finish. His choice of covers provides a personal look into his favorite artists and the songs that touched him. He couldn't wait to release it. This moment is bittersweet because he should be here doing it himself, but it is with both heartache and joy that we share this special album," said Vicky Cornell. "All of us could use his voice to help heal and lift us this year, especially during the holiday season. I am so proud of him and this stunning record, which to me illustrates why he will always be beloved, honored, and one the greatest voices of our time," she added.
"When my dad was making this album, it was so fun - I remember waking up in the morning, having breakfast with him and going with him into the studio. We would take our piano lessons there, and Christopher would play video games with Brendan and my dad. We got to experience so much with him and have so many amazing memories. I'm really happy to be sharing this album. We love you, daddy," shared Toni Cornell.
With Christopher Cornell adding, "We had so much fun in the studio during this time, and on days off we'd go to Tree People and hike around there. We would also play hide and go seek inside the Beverly Hills Hotel and when security would show up they would think it was so funny that my dad was running through fire escapes with us. For me this album represents who my dad was. I'm really proud of him and his work. I hope you all love this record as much as I do."
No One Sings Like You Anymore is available for physical/vinyl pre-order today, here. The physical album will be released on March 19th.
