Dave Grohl's documentary "What Drives Us" premieres today.  He directed it and Foo Fighters produced it., along with the creators of Sound City and Sonic Highways

It's based on the early days of bands going out on the road and the troubles they went through to get to where they are, all because of their love of playing music. There are tons of interviews from musicians like Slash and Duff Mckagan, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Brian Johnson of AC/DC, Flea of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and more.

Grohl said "This film is my love letter to every musician that has ever jumped into an old van with their friends and left it all behind for the simple reward of playing music."

You can watch What Drives Us on The Coda Collection on Amazon Prime. (The Coda Collection is a channel on Amazon Prime that you have to pay for but pro tip - sign up for a free 7 day trial to watch and then cancel if you want)

What drives us?"

Many special guests will appear in the film, including Ringo Starr, Slash & Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses, Brian Johnson of AC/DC, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Edge of U2, Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers and St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark), among others. No thanks to covid, The Documentary finally found a distributor in Abramorama and also includes some of rock and metal's biggest names! If they played any of the DWP shows, their most likely going to be making an appearance. Members of Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie and many more are featured in the upcoming documentary film, 'Long Live Rock…Celebrate The Chaos' delves into the culture of hard rock music and metal, examining it through the stories of both the musicians who make it and the fans that enjoy it.

The film, directed by Jonathan McHugh and produced by Gary Spivack and Jonathan Platt, not only offers insight from the rockers currently carrying the torch for the heavy music scene but also connects viewers with some of the fans who have given their undying love and passion for the music they love so much.

"Gary Spivack and I wanted to make a film celebrating the chaos of rock culture. Growing up in New York City, I would do whatever it took to get in to see bands like Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and other rock icons. We are so proud to shine a light on the most passionate fans in the world and the music that drives them." - Director, Jonathan McHugh

"When it comes to YOU—when it comes to THE BLITZ——and the city of Columbus which I hold so dear to my heart——and since you all are actually IN the movie, I want to check in and THANK YOU ALL" - Producer, Gary Spivack
