GHOST have unveiled a trailer for their upcoming feature film debut, 'Rite Here Rite Now' Haunting Cinemas Worldwide June 20 & 22 only! Tickets and Info available here > https://www.ritehereritenow.com/

'Rite Here Rite Now' combines concert footage from Ghost's 2023 Los Angeles shows with a narrative that reflects the Swedish band's long-running mythology. The film was co-directed by the band's own Tobias Forge, and Alex Ross Perry. It's A bombastic yet intimate cinematic portrait of GHOST. Please Enjoy this offering devoted disciples.

"Shot over the course of Ghost's two sold-out shows at Los Angeles' hallowed Kia Forum, Rite Here Rite Now fully immerses viewers in the technicolor melodrama of the vaunted live ritual that has helped to propel Sweden's foremost theatrical rock export to GRAMMY-winning, chart-topping, arena-headlining status the world over. It combines live performance from the two-night finale of the band's RE-IMPERATOUR U.S.A. 2023 with a narrative story that picks up plot threads from the band's long-running Chapters series. The result is an utterly unique phantasmagorical blend: Flesh and bone renditions of favorites from all five of GHOST's albums as well as the RIAA platinum-certified "Mary On A Cross'' and more are interwoven with the silver screen debuts of a few faces familiar to the band's legions of fans-all interacting behind the scenes with GHOST's Papa Emeritus IV, as his future and fate lay in the hands of the Ministry."

An original motion picture soundtrack for the film will be released on July 26th under the title of "Rite Here Rite Now: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack". It features 18 tracks. The first to be revealed from it is the below live version of "Absolution" (video below)

Ghost's new '13 Commandments' compilation includes "Zenith" a b-side from the 'Meliora' vinyl release, which was previously unavailable on streaming services.

Phantom Of The Opera – an Iron Maiden cover taken from Ghost's latest release, the Phantomime EP – also appears on 13 Commandments.

Ghost finished touring to promote their 2022 album, Impera, in October.

In a recent interview with Hammer, singer and mastermind Tobias Forge (AKA Papa Emeritus) announced his desire to use footage recorded at Ghost's two September shows in Los Angeles to make a movie based on the band.

"We were essentially shooting a film, and we used two nights of crowds as extras… It's going to be a film with a concert element. So a lot of what you experienced [at the two LA shows] is going to be part of this project."

When asked if the Ghost film will be similar to Metallica's Through The Never, which combined concert footage with blockbuster-like action segments, Forge replied:  "In the sense that it's a concert with something else combined."

"We wish to inform you that these times call for a divine compilation of some of Ghost's most sinful psalms and the most observant shall find the wider release of Ghost's cult tune 'Zenith'. Ghost's 13 Commandments: so let it be written, so let it be done." - GHOST

"We wish to inform you that in this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes"

Ghost may be planning to kill off their current frontman Papa Emeritus IV later this year.

The latest installment of their video series, titled "Chapter 16: Tax Season," used imagery like a coffin and a video game's "game over" screen to suggest it may be the end for Tobias Forge's on-stage alter ego.

NME suggests the death of the character may signal the end of the band's "Impera" era, which began last March.

Ghost appears to be hinting at an upcoming project. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that a billboard featuring frontman Tobias Forge recently popped up in Los Angeles. It also contained the phrase "Jesus is coming." It's currently unclear what the band could be hinting at, but it does follow a November 2022 interview with Rolling Stone where Forge discussed the "vibe" of Ghost's next album. Their most recent album was "Impera" released in March 2022.

"SPILLWAYS" Featuring Joe Elliott of Def Leppard

"Impera was my favourite rock album of 2022 … I found out along the way that Tobias is a bit of a fan of DL, so I guess it was inevitable we'd both find out about each other! Once we'd been introduced to the idea of working together it just snowballed organically & I'm thrilled that I got to sing on what is my favourite song from that album!" - Joe Elliott of Def Leppard

Check out the hilarious teaser video and then the Audio/Video of Ghost's "Impera" single "Spillways", featuring Elliot on guest vocals.

Ghost are planning to celebrate their fictional late 1960s run with a new exhibition at the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, CA this Wednesday, February 01st. If you're not up to date on the band's canon, a young Papa Nihil fronted Ghost in the 1960s, with their 2019 "Seven Inches Of Satanic Panic" representing that time period.
As fate would have it, the b-side from that release, "Mary On A Cross", would find find viral fame on TikTok, subsequently going gold in the United States late last year. Ghost themselves had recently been teasing that "Jesus is coming", and it would appear that this is may have been the resurrection they were referencing.
