New Five Finger Death Punch Album “AfterLife” out in August and Here's the Latest Single “IOU”

Five Finger Death Punch have announced August 19th as the release date for their new 12 song album "Afterlife" through Better Noise Music.

"'Afterlife' was hands down my favorite record to make. It is our ninth album so at this point, we have legions of loyal fans, and our signature sound is more than established. It became its own island, our ground zero we operate from and we can always come back to. So when we started this record, there was an excitement of impending musical adventures, we knew we could step away as far as we wanted to, there was a freedom of truly 'anything goes.'"

"This resulted in an album that is way more diverse than our previous ones, while it feels more unified, because there is a framework of overarching stories in Ivan's lyrics and interconnecting musical motifs between songs. It was not planned as a concept album, but we were so hyper-focused on painting a complete picture, it somehow feels like one… We are very proud of it and are just as impatient as the fans waiting for the release, can't wait to share it." - guitarist Zoltan Bathory

NOTHING MORE Unveil New Song and Video for “TIRED OF WINNING,” from Upcoming Album

NOTHING MORE released their new single "TIRED OF WINNING" as a preview of their forthcoming album and follow-up to the band's 2017 album The Stories We Tell Ourselves.

●Q: "TIRED OF WINNING" is a compelling song with lyrics that underline the very precarious position that humankind is in right now: "So will we steer this ship straight through the void/ Or turn on ourselves and die out?" What inspired the song and how it mocks the phrase "winning"?

A: We find ourselves in the same position humanity has found itself over and over again… at the end of a series of self made problems. When we wake up to this, we realize that we are our own worst enemy, yet we focus so much of our energy on externalizing our problems. This song is a bird's eye view of human nature.

●Q: Vocally, the performance is stadium-size and intimate all at once, putting across the urgency of the song's lyrics. What was going through your mind as you sang with this level of intensity? How will you translate this message into your live performance?

A: This may sound a bit lofty, but when I sing this song I feel as if the entire universe is coursing through my veins. I get goosebumps because I feel in line with something I can't quite describe… like an old familiar spirit shows up.

●Q: The song ends with the lines: "Are we going to live this life?" How do you feel we as a people got it all wrong--and where do you think we might all be headed?

A: I think we all tend to lose the meaning in life by hyper focusing on it and romanticizing it. It's a paradox… It's like trying to grasp water in your hand; the tighter you hold, the less you have. The more weight you put on the "meaning" of your life, the less you feel connected to it. The purpose of life might be as simple as life itself… nothing more, nothing less.

●Q: Musically, the song is very intense with unique sounds + a jarring rhythm that underline the chaos of this moment we are living in. Can you talk about the recording of the song and how you wanted it to sonically capture the song's theme?

A: We wanted it to sound like aliens had a baby with a 90's rock band. That baby grew up, dropped out of college and made our music video.

'Five Finger Death Punch' announced their upcoming 2022 NorthAmerican headlining tour.  The tour will span over 30 dates and runs August19th through October 15. "Lifetime is about loss. It also speaks to the human condition to push forward and put one foot in front of the other even when you wake up and your world is turned upside down. Barry lives 2 hours to the north of Mayfield and when the tornado struck he not only knew people directly affected but days later found photos and debris in his own backyard; hitting, in more ways than one, close to home. The Mayfield community has shown hope and resilience in the face of unimaginable devastation. When we discussed how we wanted to visually portray this song the story of Mayfield immediately came up. We travelled down to Kentucky from Toronto in March. To see it all with our own eyes and to meet some of the families while overwhelming at times it was also a reminder to us and hopefully to all of you that while there is suffering there is also hope, resilience and strength around every corner all over the world." - Three Days Grace

'Hyde Manor' is set to be released this Halloween, Oct 31st, through Z2 Comics. Z2 Comics will transform Halestorm into art for Hyde Manor, a sprawling gothic estate perched on the remote end of the Oregon Coast. It's the harrowing descent into one woman's fight with the darkest parts of herself while the group seeks refuge in the titular Hyde Manor. It looks marvelously wicked!
