Seether singer Shaun Morgan talks about their new song "Leech" -
"This song is a generalized reflection on abusive relationships and how they shape the way we see the world. Those are most often personal, but more often these days they are social. There is so much digital noise surrounding us all that we choose to ignore, at the peril of our kids and our collective wellbeing. We are slaves to smart phones and the absolute cancer that is social media, and it will not end well. Different viewpoints that stray from the echo chambers that people choose to live in result in public crucifixion and irrational hatred that is driven by a powerful propaganda force that spoon feeds our opinions to us. Turn off the fucking TV, delete your social media and read a goddamn book or spend some time with your neighbors. We need to stop living in this procured vapid digital universe where we are merely products to enrich assholes and live more in the real world. I say that as an introvert, but even I can see the impending downfall of decency and morality."

HELLYEAH Singer Says There Are Unreleased Tracks Featuring The Late Pantera Drummer Vinnie Paul

IMG_9341

Recently during a conversation with Avenged Sevenfold bassist Johnny Christ – as part of his web show 'Drinks With Johnny' – HELLYEAH (and Mudvayne) singer Chad Gray spoke to the band having unreleased material that features the late Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul.

"When we lost Vinnie, I was just thinking about, 'We have to do the same thing that we did for Dime for Vinnie now. We have to keep going to keep carrying the flag for Vince.' It's been tough. And I've talked to Tom [Maxwell, HELLYEAH guitarist] a little bit, I've talked to members, and we've talked about… writing some music. We don't know what the touring plans would be ever— maybe ever again—but we could still release music. I think there are, like, two or three songs that Vinnie [Paul, late Pantera drummer] actually tracked drums to that we didn't end up [finishing] for whatever reason. So, there is a potential for us to write maybe a couple of more songs with Vinnie's drums added on." - Chad Gray

The late Pantera drummer helped to create six studio albums with HELLYEAH. In 2019, HELLYEAH released the album 'Welcome Home', which features Paul's final drum recordings. The band toured behind the record with Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga on drums. HELLYEAH is currently on hiatus. Gray, meanwhile, has since reunited with his band Mudvayne.

Johnny and Chad connect on the emotional challenges of trying to continue on after such a tragedy. The duo shifts gears and get into what the future holds for both Mudvayne and Avenged Sevenfold.

Pop Evil has premiered a new song called "Eye of the Storm."

cvbdzifgnmklxmfg5_n
"It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, at some point we all face a situation beyond our control. The wind howls at your door as darkness fills the sky and everything you know is being tested. You don't know if you can survive it. At times, it feels hopeless, but it's not. There is a path through the chaos and a way out of the confusion. You are stronger and closer than you think you are. The storm will pass. Don't let it bury you."
