Matt recently shared this pic from their sessions at Avast! Recording Co. in Seattle, WA. "Tracking with Krist at Avast Recording Co". Could this 'Dream Team' of Matt Cameron (Soundgarden/Pearl Jam drummer) and (Ex-Nirvana Bassist) Krist Novoselic, possibly be laying down parts for some upcoming new material together? Either way, this is a beautiful sight. Cameron stepped out with a solo career of his own in 2017 with the release of his solo album "Cavedweller".

Soundgarden & Vicky Cornell Have Reached an Agreement Regarding the Bands Social Media Accounts

Please let there be peace in the Forest...er' I mean, Garden.

Soundgarden and Vicky Cornell, the personal representative of the Estate of Christopher Cornell, are pleased to announce that, effective June 15, 2021, they have come to a temporary agreement that will transfer the Soundgarden social media accounts and website to the band's remaining members, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd and their managers, Red Light Management. This includes Soundgarden's website [https://www.soundgardenworld.com], Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/Soundgarden], Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/soundgarden/], and Twitter [https://twitter.com/soundgarden]. The agreement marks a productive first step towards healing and open dialogue, and the parties wish for the social media accounts to celebrate the Band's accomplishments and music while continuing to honor Chris' legacy.

Here's the new single “Only Love Can Save Me Now” from The Pretty Reckless. The song (and video) feature Kim Thayil & Matt Cameron from Soundgarden on guitar & drums respectively - you can really hear their influence.

"The inspiration for "Only Love Can Save Me Now" essentially came out of desperation. I had hit rock bottom, and while looking for any sign of hope, this song was born. It was such a powerful statement personally to me, it needed the most powerful musicians to play it. So I showed the song to Matt Cameron, and soon I found myself in Seattle recording with him and Kim Thayil. Calling them amazing is an understatement." – Taylor Momsen

"It was super fun to spend time in the studio with Taylor, Ben [Phillips, The Pretty Reckless guitarist], and Matt, and to have the opportunity to contribute to this The Pretty Reckless song. 'Only Love Can Save Me Now' has elements of classic Soundgarden and the riff would probably be at home on 'Louder Than Love' These are great guitar parts that Ben came up with. They lay down a heavy foundation that allows the entire song to open up with Taylor's powerful and haunting vocals.
